Joel Judkins was born in Idaho Falls, and was raised in Moses Lake, Washington. He served a full-time mission in the Perú, Arequipa mission. He graduated from Ricks College and then attended Idaho State University where he met his wife, Lisa, and earned a master’s degree in speech-language pathology. Joel was hired to work in the Communication Department on campus in 1996. Joel and Lisa have five children and seven, almost eight, grandchildren. He has had various callings in cub scouts, elder’s quorum presidencies, family history, ward young men’s presidencies, bishoprics, high priest group leadership, and a calling in a stake mission presidency. Brother Judkins was recently released from the 67th ward campus bishopric and is currently serving in a ministering assignment. He enjoys building with LEGO, drawing, gardening, and hiking.
