Doug Thompson was born in Palo Alto, California, and raised in Rexburg, Idaho, where his father taught chemistry at Ricks College. From 1980 to 1982, Doug served as a missionary in Halifax, Canada. He attended Utah State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in administrative system business education. In 1991, he began working at Ricks College as a supervisor in the library computer lab. He has also been employed at Diet Center Incorporated. Doug met his wife, Kellae (Kelly), on a blind date to the Playmill Theatre. They have been married for 35 years and have four children. He is currently serving as the elders quorum president in his ward. Watch here:
