Devotional: Sam Brubaker

Sam Brubaker was born in Placerville, California and served a full-time mission in Barcelona, Spain. Sam graduated from BYU-Idaho in Computer Information Technology and subsequently received a Master in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. He is currently pursuing an educational doctorate in leadership and innovation. For five years, Sam worked as a UX designer and project manager for BYU-Idaho IT, and then worked five years as the Director of Career and Academic Advising. He was recently hired as Managing Director of Student Success overseeing advising, mentoring, and first-year experience. Sam and his wife, Heidi, met in a sacrament meeting in the Smith building while attending BYU-Idaho. They have eight kids between the ages of eight months and 11 years old. Sam loves any adventure or experience that includes his wife and kids. As a family, they hike, run, camp, play games, and have spontaneous dance parties while cleaning the house.
