Dan Peterson was raised near Rexburg in the Lyman area on his family’s farm. He served a full-time mission in the Illinois Chicago South Mission. Dan later graduated from Ricks College in Computer Systems Technology. Since graduating, he has worked in the technology industry for 33 years, 27 of those years being at BYU-Idaho. Dan and his wife, ShaLae, have been married for 39 years and have two children and seven grandchildren. Dan enjoys spending time with his family, working in the yard, golfing, and traveling with friends. He has served in the Church as a ward clerk, ward executive secretary, and as a bishop in both his home ward and a young single adult ward on campus. He currently serves on the Rexburg South Stake high council.
