Dr. Jani Radebaugh is a professor of Geological Sciences at Brigham Young University in Provo. Dr. Radebaugh received her bachelor of science in physics and astronomy and her master of science in geological sciences from BYU, and her PhD in Planetary Sciences from the University of Arizona’s Lunar and Planetary Laboratory. She is a planetary scientist involved with the NASA Dragonfly mission to Saturn’s moon, Titan, formerly the Cassini and Galileo Missions to the outer solar system, and mission proposals to Jupiter’s moon, Io, and Pluto. She does science outreach at local schools and through media such as the Science/Discovery program How the Universe Works, the NASA Unexplained Files, and BBC and Nova programs. She enjoys hiking and backpacking, having walked most of the trails in the Grand Canyon over the years. She also loves mountain biking, skiing, playing the piano, and of course traveling, sometimes bringing along her nieces and nephews. She works in activity days in her local ward.
