Devotional: Blake Willis

Blake Willis was born and raised in Arco, Idaho, and has taken great pride in the fact that he is seven minutes older than his twin brother. He grew up working on local farms and enjoying the outdoors. Blake served in the Tennessee Nashville mission, and after returning home, he completed his associate degree from Ricks College, his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University, and his master’s degree from Utah State University. He attended the University of Illinois before starting his employment at Ricks College. Brother Willis has been employed at BYU-Idaho for the past 30 years as a faculty member in the Agriculture and Life Science department. Blake met his wife, Debbie, while attending Utah State University, and they are the proud parents of five children and four grandchildren. His favorite pastimes outside of work include spending time with his family, yard work, and working with his hands. Brother Willis has served in the Primary and Young Men organizations, and as elders quorum president, ward clerk and a high counselor. He is currently serving as Bishop of the 109th ward.
