Susan Orme was born and raised in Sugar City, Idaho. She earned an associate degree from Ricks College and continued on to receive a bachelor’s degree in math education from Utah State University. Susan taught for five years at Teton High School prior to earning her master’s degree in math education from Brigham Young University, and a doctorate in education from the University of Idaho. Susan loves to spend time with her parents, five siblings, and 26 nieces and nephews. Sister Orme currently serves as first counselor in her ward’s Relief Society. Her previous callings include Relief Society teacher, Sunday School teacher, Primary teacher, ward Young Women president, and stake Relief Society president.
