I invite you to attend our upcoming Interfaith Leadership Society this coming Wednesday January 19th, 2022 in the Taylor Building, Room 276, at 7:00 PM. We welcome all society members and their friends and visitors who would like to become the next leaders to bring the world together in a brotherhood of faith. We meet the third Wednesday of every month where we put into practice the thoughts and ideals of the world's foremost leaders in interfaith involvement. This month, our focus is interfaith leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and will be taught by society vice-president Joshua Bunch.
Until we see you on January 19, consider the points made in this church magazine article by Betsy VanDenBerghe:
Becoming Better Saints through Interfaith Involvement
"When we serve alongside those of other faiths, we not only build our communities and improve our relationships but we also become better disciples ourselves."
- God uses the honest in heart in all denominations and cultures to further His work on earth.
- Working with others not of our faith to advance good causes enables us to do more good than we could do alone.
- Respectful, friendly interfaith engagement decreases misunderstandings, builds feelings of brotherhood and sisterhood, and draws us closer to the Father of us all.
