The purpose of the CFS is to enhance students' learning and professional growth by providing opportunities for students to better prepare themselves academically and professionally.

The CFS exists to:
1) Broaden and enhance the learning experience.
2) Increase professional opportunities.
3) Provide a forum for dialogue and interaction among faculty members, students, and professionals in the discipline.
4) Provide leadership opportunities.
5) Create bonds of friendship among students with similar professional or academic interests.

As a member of the Economics Society at BYU-Idaho, you receive the following benefits:

- Research/Data-Project Opportunities | The Econ Society works to have a data focused project every semester, whether that be an economic research project, or a data analysis project with a partnered business as our data sponsor. These projects provide students the opportunity to apply what they learn in the classroom and gain real world experience that can enhance their resume.

- Priority in Applications for BYU-Idaho's Econ Games team | BYU-Idaho sends a select group of students each year to compete at the national Econ Games competition. The Econ Society is used as a feeder into the Econ Games team, as the projects done each semester are modeled after the Econ Games competition.

- Guest Lecture's and Seminars | Each semester we bring in guest speakers, often alumni from BYU-Idaho, to speak to the Econ Society about what they are doing now. This gives students the opportunity both to learn about potential careers, Grad Schools, as well as network with alumni.

- Networking opportunities | Members have the opportunity of networking with fellow students in the society, the professors that help sponsor the society, as well as with guest speakers and business leaders that provide data for our analysis projects.

- Career Exposure | Students are exposed to new potential career options and are equipped with the tools to learn more about and pursue careers they are interested in.

- Help with Course Sequencing | Often times, students don't know the most efficient order to take their courses in. The Econ society provides an opportunity to receive advice from upperclassmen regarding which courses to take first and in what order to take them in.

WELCOME TO BYU-IDAHO FINANCIAL PLANNING!

Wealth Management Society (WMS) is the one-stop-shop for all things personal finance at BYU-Idaho. Students learn about budgeting, debt management, investments, insurance, income tax planning, retirement planning, estate planning, and more. Many students who are involved in WMS also complete the Financial Planning Minor at BYU-Idaho. The Financial Planning Minor is a CFP Board Registered Program.

All majors are welcome to join WMS!
