Did you know drones are used to gather data and create maps?

The data drones and other remote sensors collect can be used in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to provide decision-makers with the data they need to confront a wide variety of threats including natural disasters, terrorist attacks, sabotage, and similar crises. It can allow police departments to track crime patterns.

It can also help plan responses in the case of natural disasters such as earthquakes or hurricanes by showing officials what neighborhoods are most in danger, where to locate emergency shelters, and what routes people should take to reach safety.

In other words, it's IMPORTANT! You can learn more and have fun hanging out with cool drone peeps at our event :)
