Faculty String Quartet

As part of an anniversary year for Ludwig van Beethoven, the BYU-Idaho Faculty String Quartet will perform one of his late quartets, Op. 132, written in the depth of the composer’s deafness. This work carries the nickname “Heilige Dankgesang” or (holy song of thanks), taken from Beethoven’s title for the slow movement – an expression of gratitude to God after he had recovered from a serious illness.
